Thats great! We are leaving in ten minutes to get see them.Meanwhile, this is the setup. The front part is divided off. The towels are to hopefully help the puppy feel safe and adjust better. We spent just ten bucks at the dog shelter garage sale and got everything we needed except the crate and food! So we got those at the store.View attachment 4056565
At the sale we got a collar and leash, a rubber chew bone that looks like it's kind of good for puppy teething (it's softer rubber, but smooth, so no ridges or nibs but it will have to do for now) and might dispense treats, as well as a small tug toy. Also got a slow feeder, water bowl, undercoat comb, pin brush, and puppy pads.
We already had a squeaker moose that my MIL bought (they have a thing with mooses in their family), and I've been putting that on our bed during the day to try and absorb some "human scent" so maybe it will help the puppy feel like people are closer overnight.
