What exactly happened? Blood yoke every where

I had 7 chicks hatched in the last 24-48 hours one was born with a sake on his butt. Now there is yoke and blood everywhere. Did a bad egg crack or is just from him?

Sounds like the chick hatched before the yolk sack was completely absorbed, and it ruptured. Frequently when this happens the chick will not survive. Try applying antibiotic ointment to its abdomen. Good luck.

So you don’t think one burst? And this is indeed that sack?

I would agree with the first poster.. and think it looks more like a dragged pattern from the unabsorbed yolk sack than an expected burst pattern.

Noting that bad eggs can often be smelled through the shell and there would be an awful stench of death in the bator if that were to have happened.

There was this when I first noticed it leaking but again no smell
