Chicken Lover
I have three chicks, they are 2 months old and I hope i have atleast one girl. If I get any boys I could probably give one to my neighbor as he just culled his roo because he was too aggressive.

I heard that male tail feather are more pointed, and female tail feathers are more rounded.Pictures aren't very clear but I can't make out any male features.
Pics are pretty fuzzy so hard to tell. Are these Plymouth Barred Rock? If so, females will be darker than males since the males have double white barring.I have three chicks, they are 2 months old and I hope i have atleast one girl. That is true, but these guys are too young to tell that way right now. Male feathers don't really come in until around 12 weeks old or so. At this age the biggest indicator of gender is comb and wattle development.I heard that male tail feather are more pointed, and female tail feathers are more rounded.
It seems to be true, in my flock.
But I can't imagine how you'd figure it out if all your chicks were pullets. It's subtle in the first place.
The father is a Barred Rock. Is the mother? If not, mixes are a little harder to judge unless they're sex linked. I'm not experienced with genetics but I know a few people that seem to understand how barring is passed on. I think I saw a post where @The Moonshiner explained how the barring will pass down.Sorry about the blurry photos, I have an old tablet and the screen is always foggy and cracked
Yes, the father is a barred rock.
The possible mothers are an OEGB and a Black AustralorpThe father is a Barred Rock. Is the mother? If not, mixes are a little harder to judge unless they're sex linked.
