What is a chicken block?

in the winter i make cornbread thick with scratch, more scratch than cornbread. make cornbread the way you usually do then add scratch and oats till very very thick. bake at 325 for 1 hour cool a little, then cut in squares and serve. mine love it and can hardly wait 2 more days till there next serving.

I was thinking of adding a Bird Seed Fruit and Berry mix to it... I bet they would enjoy that!! Also heard to use molassis as a caking agent....IDK lol
 
Could someone also tell me how much Molassis I should use in making one? Just make it sticky enough to stay together??? and how long to bake? I Know that stuff can possibly burn.........
