The first thing that came to mind when I read 'what is Becky?' and looked at the picture was: "In need of a good home with a good diet and some LOVE."View attachment 1827593 View attachment 1827594 View attachment 1827595 View attachment 1827596 This is Becky. She was being kept in a dog crate in a basement for the past 7 months. Her previous owner’s didn’t know what to do bc her other larger chickens were extremely aggressive towards Becky and so she was kept separated from them for her own protection. I saw a picture of her and thought she just had a naked neck.... but didn’t realize the extent of her lack of feathers until I brought her home! Is this due to lack of sunlight the past 7 months? What breed is Becky?
I was thinking that she probably needed extra vitamins, especially after lack of sunlight since November. I guess I’m more curious as to whether she lacks feathers due to a deficiency or if that’s just her breed.Naked Neck Turken came to mind until I read the rest. Her feathers are maybe a frizzle something, looks to be feather legged/footed ... You may need to give her some higher quality feed & vitamins to help her recover. Part of me wants to say Frizzle Cochin but ....

Any ideas?
I saw her picture on Facebook and had to save her, my husband drove over an hour to get her for me... I’m on Long Island NY, Becky was in New Jersey. She had a nice bath and appears to be healthy other than lack of feathers. She’s very sweet with people, timid around other birds and is isolating herself. (Hiding in corners, sleeping by herself) I put her in my smaller coop with a few juvenile silkies and seramas. They aren’t hurting her, mostly ignoring her. I’m hoping they accept her into their clique. The first thing that came to mind when I read 'what is Becky?' and looked at the picture was: "In need of a good home with a good diet and some LOVE."
I can't guess what she is, though 'frizzle' popped into my (non-expert) mind. I hope she does a turn-around with you, the poor thing! Can you please keep us posted as to how she's doing? Good on you for taking her...er...under your wing!
