well any where from $6- $25 pet shops sell them for $20- $25.
and breeders sell them for $6- $10.

and i paid $18 each for jumbo quail.

but the good thing is no one has them so selling them at a good price is not hard.

also that is AU $ not US $.

cheers youri.

We sell day old chicks for 1.00 each, and so far have been selling out all our hatches by posting on craigslist. We haven't been able to keep many for eating or breeding as we keep getting request for day olds. That seems to be the best way to sell them as they are such chow hounds we'd need to sell adults for 4.00 or 5.00 each and barely break even with feed costs. If you can get adults for 5.00 each vs 2.00 for chicks, I'd buy a quad of adults, (assuming you have an incubator to hatch their eggs) and hatch out your own breeding stock. You'd pay 20.00 for these vs. 50.00 for 25 chicks. They lay nearly an egg a day with 14 hours of light, so save your eggs for 7-10 days, and in 16-17 days you'll have 20 or 25 chicks. In 8 weeks minimum these will be laying. If you can get eggs for less than 4.00 a dozen, that would be the least expensive way to go, as it's fairly easy to get at least 75-85% hatch.

My guns are a blazing!

Never shot anyone.... Yet! Would like to sometimes.

I would give anyone within eye shot eggs, because I can only eat so many.

I can't ship eggs/chicks to Australia, but if you guys want to stop by here and pick some up. I'll fill your baskets.

would love some more jumbos.
but that would not happen.

cheers youri.

It all depends on your local market and what prices people are willing to pay. I will find out (hopefully) in a week or two what quail chicks go for in the Colorado Springs area. I will let you know what happens.
