What is this large growth on this dear chicken’s leg?

That's a new one to me
Never seen a growth quite like that before. My guess would be some mutation with the scales or spurs. Can she feel it/does it have blood veins in it? That's 100% a vet visit if you can swing it, I have no idea what that could be.

Which part of the leg is the growth coming out of? How old is the hen and how long have you owned her?
To me it almost looks like a horribly ingrown spur, but I’ve never seen one that large or that bad, especially on a hen.
