I found this outside of one of my nesting areas.

Could be. It looks like some blood in it. I would slice it in two and take another picture. How old are the chickens? Inspecting it may tell you if it is lash material or stool. Has there been any coccidiosis?

The second picture was it cut in half, it looked the same on the inside as it does on the outside. They are about 3 years old. They’ve never had coccidiosis before.
