2 Hens dead a few days apart!

Thank you so much! I will definitely be purchasing. Are there any signs of an egg bound hen? My two hens showed really no signs that they were in distress the day before they died. I was honestly in pure shock because they were acting like normal chickens and then dead the next day. It worries me that I am missing symptoms.
Penguin posture, runny poops, and sitting in nest boxes without laying eggs are some signs. But sometimes hens hide illness and it's hard to catch before it's too late.

What breed(s) and how old are they? Certain breeds that are bred to be prolific layers are more at risk for egg-related problems.

In addition to offering oyster shells and a higher protein feed, reduce or completely cut out treats. Overweight hens can have problems as well.

They were blue and splash australorps. They were both almost a year old, and just started laying. Thank you so much for your advice!
