What is wrong with this hen?

The black rooster attacked her- so she is in the brooder for now. I will watch them tomorrow and make sure she isn't picked on

I have 2 cockerels. One is Blue andalusian age 5months. One barn mix age 6 months.
18 hens and the attack happened while free ranging

This where they roost and we have plenty of open spots plus I added dividers and the space below is open. Attached 2 seperate runs 13 ft by 9, and 10 by 10. Fenced in yard is 50 ft by 60 and doubled when my garden is done plus we free range on 5 acres.

Cockerels that age can be a pain. If the Black one is being a total pill, separate him out for a little while. Not the best solution, but often it's easier to put a cockerel/rooster back in with hens than re-integrating a hen with hens.

Then again, the cockerel being moved, might cause drama going back, because the Blue Andalusian may just assume head roll and won't appreciate a competitor coming into his territory.

The black one was placed outside the fence to free range. While the ladies ate.
Mr Blue. Called to his flock of 5 blue andalusian hens and they ran to him. So I don't think he is bad but I think the little hen being bullied came into their free ranging space and he chased her off and pulled a feather. It was interesting to watch - I was chasing both. MR blue and little pullet same age.

If you plan on keeping both males it might be better to separate both at the same time in a bachelor pad.
This way none of them will get used to having all the females to himself while seeing the other as intruder when it is time to reintegrate.
