I don't, no. I wish I did. If I don't see any pips by tomorrow in the other eggs, I'm going to TSC. I just can't see that little guy/gal growing up alone. Even if that means having 2 flocks of chickens, so be it.

Re-home it. Post it on the social medias. Even if it's free. I'm sure someone will take it and it's easier than making two flocks or keeping a rooster you don't really want.

But also, figure out what went wrong with the incubating.

But if anyone in the southern Schuylkill County, PA area has chicks for sale, I'd love to know.

Go to the "Where am I? Where are you!" section if this forum, find your State thread, and chat with your neighbors. Maybe find a chick or two, get someone to take it, or get someone to split an order with you.

Go to the "Buy-Sell-Trade" section of this forum and post an add for more chicks or to get rid of this one. Put your location in the thread title to attract the attention of your neighbors.

Call your county extension office and chat with them. They may know someone that has extra chicks or may take that one.

But also, figure out what went wrong with the incubating.

I stopped at TSC this morning, all they had were straight runs. So I end up getting 4 ameraucanas. I feather sexed them when I got home. The 3 lighter colored ones appear to be pullets. The brown one may be a roo. Worst case scenario, I'll have to make a bachelor pad. We'll see how it goes. But at least now the little booger has some friends.
As for the incubator, it is a cheap one from Amazon. I candled them on day 14, and there were at least 3 of the remaining 5 with signs of life. I candled the last 4 today, day 22, and I'm not seeing any signs of life. I'll let them go until day 25 just in case, then give up. But I believe this incubator is going on the trash.

I figured I'd post an update how the little guy is doing. I named him Smokey, and he'll be turning 6 weeks old on Tuesday. Him, along with the 4 Hoover's Hatchery "Americanas", are all doing good. Just about ready to move out to the coop permanently. Smokey's father is a 1 year old Sapphire Splash, and I'm not sure who his mom is.
