What should I name my azteca gelding?

You don't want to know. 😔
No I really do. I work at a show horse barn so I'm curious.
As for the members reply. Yes I owned a show bred TWH. She had a known sire so I was encouraged to show her or work towards that. I had no interest for lack of funds that would be needed.
I knew of her sire's owners having been in violations with him and other horses they owned. I learned some of the stupidity involved.
A barn contacted me and wanted to work with my horse. No expenses from me if I partial leased to them to show. She wasn't even broke to ride at the time so I thought hey that'd be a lot of free training and I'd have a nice broke horse soon enough and also room and board etc etc.
They were a TWH barn. One visit and I knew no way they would touch my horse. Even with what I'd get out of the deal, no way.
My barn is a QH barn and there is nothing abusive there but I learned the TWH world can be very disgusting.
When I finally let my horse go it was with no registration or any hint at her bloodline. That surely cost me a bundle but I knew it would keep her out of the show world or brood mare because of pedigree.

Thankfully the USEF Has abolished this practice but people always try to find other ways to abuse horses:(

That's the breed that get's a lot of abuse in the horse show world... I'm glad you kept her away from there. here's the article i read about it https://www.humanesociety.org/blog/undercover-investigation-horse-soring

Poor boy, someone really messed him up with a hackamore... look at that old injury on his nose.
Sometimes in advance of sale people get yahoo wackos like the type that ride at auctions on them and those people tend to prefer harsh metal hackamores as instruments of forced obedience.

I suggest you restart him. Look on youtube for Warwick Schiller. He has a whole in-depth video series that will show how to do free work, hook on, get him sensitive to light pressure, desensitize, etc.
There are quite a few good natural horsemanship trainers, but I liked the detail in his videos.
They said he got injured from a trailer, but it could’ve been from a hackamore. They always rode him with a snaffle bit. I’ll watch those videos! Thank you!
