I’m getting some new chicks in May, and looking for some names, like group names.
2 barred rock pullets
3 blue azure( they basically look like white leghorns but lay blue eggs) pullets

I like to pick a theme and name them accordingly. For example our last clutch we named after spices....Poppy, Basil, Rosemary, Thistle and Pepper. This past past batch of 3 chicks were named after the COVID19 chaos: Panda (for pandemic), Q-tip for quarantine and Covie for Covid.
i have 24 in my flock and they all have names like that. We named one Liberty after visiting the Statue of Liberty and another Hopper after our son made the varsity tennis team. And so many more.........

I love the covid19 ones!

Our family, each of us picked out a chicken and named her according to our passion. I named my chicken Luna because I love the moon. My mom named one lemon because she love to cook. My dad named one Buffy because he likes to eat( Buffy is short for buffalo chicken) and my sister named one poppy because she loves flowers.

Love the names. I had a pair of chicks. I called one Jeeves and one Rooster because I love the Jeeves and Wooster PG Wodehouse books.
I also had chicks called Pumpkin, Pecan and Maple! They were all bright orange chickens. I remember someone called theirs after fabrics. I don't remember all the names, but one was Polly, and one was Esther. And I think one was called Jean.
I also wanted to name a broody hen Margaret Hatcher but I never did because I was afraid it would turn out to be a boy, or not a broody.
Wish I was getting more chicks. Have fun looking after them!
