What size metal can for 100 lbs of feed?

I store one 50lb bag of feed in a ten gallon rubbermaid container so a 20 or 30 gallon should work fine.

Depends on what kind of feed of course, but I fit 100 lbs in a 30 gallon can. If the can is unprotected from rain you will need to use a large garbage bag, like a contractor bag, inside the can as the lid will eventually leak. Also, best to have 2 cans so you can rotate your stock.......Pop

Edit to say that I tried a plastic can and it worked well until squirels ate through it. The metal cans are about 10 years old and still strong. The bottoms are porous, as are the lids, but the contractor bags keep out the moisture and the metal keeps out the vermin.

I use 45 gal. grey heavy duty rubber maid trash cans and lids which can whole 200 lbs of pellets with no problems , but I do keep them in the big garage / barn and have had no problems with mice or anything eles getting in these cans and this will last me a month or so in feeding

10 gallons for every 50lbs of feed. 20 gallons for 100lbs. I use 3 30 gallon aluminum trash cans for 9 bags of feed.
