What to feed call ducklings?

I have some white call ducks that are suppose to hatch next week and I wondering what feed to give them. I read that you're not suppose to feed ducklings chick starter. Is this true? If it is what feed should I get them? I hatched some ducklings last year and I gave them the chick starter and they later on died 3-4 days after hatch. So I'm not sure what I should give them.

They should be fed a crumbled duck feed or All Poultry feed. Chick starter does not contain enough niacin for ducks which may lead to leg problems. If treats are being offered, grit should be provided in a separate dish. Pictures are mandatory once they hatch!

That's still specifically intended for chicks, so while you could probably get away with using that plain with bantam breeds (They don't often develop niacin deficiency) it would still be good to add a source of niacin over the feed like brewers yeast or nutritional yeast, one to two tablespoons per cup of feed, or you could just feed them a bag intended for waterfowl or all poultry, and skip the step.
