What toys did you collect or love in the 60s, 70s? Kiddles?

I loved my spirograph, and got one for my kids! Then, my friend stole it from my kids and did it on my coffee table - which etched the design in the wood!

I love spin art! But, now the ones for kids requires paper in an odd size that you have to cut, but isn't a normal 81/2 by 11 cut into 4 pieces cut. Very annoying!!! For some reason they don't sell packets of thick replacement paper - they really should.

But, when I was a kid my favorites were LEGOS!! I loved my legos and stole my brother's erector set! Remember those?? I built a motorized crane.....

I don't remember what they were called, but I had one, too. Have one now & they call it exercise (has a counter on it that tells how many revolutions you've done)...my granddaughter 'plays' with it more than i do; I'm not as co-ordinated as i used to be!

We were financially challenged when I was growing up as well. When I got something, it was usually a cheaper, knock-off version. The only 2 things I remember that weren't, was my easy bake oven & my hot wheels track & some of the cars. Of course, the hot wheels tracks served a 'dual purpose...' (spare the rod & spoil the child)

They have a Lego store in NYC - very expensive, but you should see the stuff they sell - crazy what they make out of Legos

wow, Mad Magazine! I remember those,

I even have the masks, although one of them recently started to melt in the closet the other one is still in good shape.

I collected Barbies, Dawn Dolls, Breyer Horses.

I still have about 100 Barbies, 30 Dawn Dolls and 10 Breyer Horses.

now I look for any toy car that is a Willys Jeepster, Willys Delivery, and Willys FC170 (because I have all three in my garages still waiting to be restored )

My sister had all the Barbie and Dawn Doll stuff. She had the airplane, the houses, the boat and of course the Barbie Camper. We actually took it camping!
I was more into "Baby" dolls. I still have the last 2 I got for Christmas. Newborn Baby Tenderlove and Living Baby Tenderlove.

I too had spirograph, Easy bake oven, Thingmaker, Creepy Crawlers and Creeple People maker, Mr. Machine, we played Monopoly, Twister, Life, Hoopla, Old Maid, Checkers, Sorry, Candyland, Feely Meely.
I remember the round popsicle trucks and ate Buried treasures.
I had Mrs. Beasley, Chatty Cathy, Shrinking Violet, Tumblina, Beanie and Cecil dolls and Mr. Machine.
I collected Liddle Kiddles, trolls, Breyer Horses, poopatroopers.

What memories this thread brings back!!! I loved my Easy Bake Oven!
Here's are a few that you may not remember. I had a Honey West doll. That was an old TV series about a woman detective (a novel idea in those days!).
I also had "Heidi" dolls. She came in a plastic purse with a see-thru window and had a little sister name "Hilda". If you pushed her belly button (!!!) her hand would pop up - "Hi Heidi!"
