Hi guys! I have recently got 6 chicks, all different breeds. one is an ameraucana chick, (her name is Errol) and I know ameraucanas can grow up looking different. some are rusty red, some are white, some are brown, and some are grey. Errol recently started getting her adult feathers, and I was wondering...can any of you guys tell what she'll end up looking like?
here's her wings:

here's a better pic:

she has light brown lacing around her primaries, and grey in the center, while her smaller feathers are black and light brown. any ideas? Thanks!

A true ameraucana would have been sold by specific color variety....ie blue, black, lavender, white, etc. Those producing them take care to breed true...
Failing that identifier, you likely have an easyer egger.....those can certainly have a wide variety of color/pattern.
Set your little one down and take a pic showing the whole chick, that will be most helpful

Is Errol from a feed store or is she actually an Ameraucana? They come in a few specific colors only. Easter Eggers are often mislabeled as Ameraucanas, and can be any color. This chick looks blue/ gray and tan, and will be very pretty, and is likely an EE.

I'm 99% sure she's an ameraucana. someone I know has a few ameraucana chicks, and one is red, and the other is brown. We bought them from UFC farm supply, and they have "pick a chick" each year in the spring. the chick I got was labeled as an ameraucana...would they lie? I'm fine with her being an EE, because they're REALLY pretty. :love
still..are you sure?

I think I got an Americauna but she was labeled a sapphire gem.

here's her whole body:

she has the "eyeliner" on both eyes, and banding on her back.
I'm uploading more pictures right now.
