I'm dying to know! I bought some banties at TSC and thought I had them figured out...then noticed one "sebright" has a single comb.Could it be a GLW bantie with a "flawed" comb? Or could it be a GS with a "flawed" comb?Does anyone have pics of the two breeds?Mine are about 2 weeks old.I'd post pics but haven't got a cam right now

I've researched and can't find distinctive pics of the two as chicks. Can anyone help?

Thanks, but now I'm thinking maybe one is a OEGB (golden laced) or still possibly the "funky combed" sebright...

Wish I knew...not that it's vital but it drives me nuts!!

Pics anyone of the three ( GLW , OEG, and GS) banties?

I've got a young 6 wk old Sebright here (silver) with a single comb. I've had Wyandottes too, and my Sebright is DEFINITELY not like the Wyandottes (at the bottom)! Golden Sebrights will have a very red colored head and face, while the GLW will have more of a splotchy look to them. Take a look at feathersite.com - it shows both breeds quite well as chicks.

Yes,you're right! I have a bunch of GLW LF chicks in the brooder and I do remember they were more splotchy! These have the more "reddish" faces but the wing feathers haven't got the "clear definition" I see in the grown sebrights.Does that change as they age?
You know,I think I've just been staring at chicks too much and it's fumbling my brain!

The feathering on this sebright has changed SO much since she was first hatched. I've been having my kids take care of these chicks, and one day I went out and didn't recognize this little gal! I was like - who put in the silver laced miniature?? She was by far the tiniest chick we've ever had. She was actually one of four that I got of this breed and variety, but she's our only survivor.

I don't know a lot about OEG... yet
