Is that a road runner? Kinda reminds me of our kildeers. The kildeers are usually at the beaches running around, and if you get near their nest, they lay on their side and pretend to be injured, so you go towards them and away from their nest.

Yep! They really do run across roads. It made me laugh the first time I saw one do that, it seemed so cliché.

I'd never heard of kildeers. They have very pretty stripes.
