when can I get my chicks out to their coop

I usually let mine outside in our big coop at 5-7 weeks but it will definitely depend on the temps outside. I live in Texas, so our chicks tend to be okay outside sooner.

We don’t use a heating plate or anything at that age. But if it’s really cold I would put something for at least them to have a choice of heat.

It was very cold last night so I decided to bring them the temp was 27 it is going to be 32 tonight how many more days do you think I will have to wait

Thank you

I have 8 chicks just over 1 week old in the coop since last Friday with a brooder plate. Night temps since Sunday have been 37, 32, 25 & 38 overnight. They have gone under the plate at dusk & come out at will during the day. Their crops appear to always be full even though I don't always catch them out from under the plate. They really are very hardy.
