I forgot to collect eggs for 3 days 😭
when I finally remembered I discovered one of my hens is broody and was sitting on them. when do the chicks start visibly developing? I'm scared I'll crack one open and find veins or a little heart

You will see vein development by day three.

Can you just let her do her thing and hatch them? If you don't have room for new flock members, in the current climate you could easily sell the started pullets when the hen weans them. Just sell the whole batch as a deal, cockerels and all. Or split the boys off and sell them for $5 ea or give them away if you find someone that wants a cockerel for a flock leader.

Thank you!! I asked my mom if I could let the broody hen hatch them out but she said no. turns out my dad collected eggs for me 2 days ago so I'm hoping there won't be anything inside them. I put them in the fridge upon my mom's request
