When do pigeon hens stop laying?

I have a pair of kazan tumblers and a pair of homers. The kazans have laid 2 eggs and they are do to hatch in 1-2 days (

) but the homers haven't laid a single egg!

. But I do know that the hen is 5 years old. Is it possibly that shes to old?

I called my brother who was a member of the Syracuse pigeon club and he says she may be to old. Are you sure you don't have two males? He says just like chickens you don't have to have a male for a hen to lay eggs. It' s funny I had a dream last night that I had a tumber pigeon. Probably because I was thinking of converting the top of my coop to a loft.
I had another brother who was the President of the pigeon club by he passed 7 years ago. He would definitely have known.

It may vary by breed, but I had an 8 year old pair of Tipplers that raised 2 sets last year. The weather may not be "just right" for them quite yet.

Maybe there's something in or near the cage that your homer doesn't like? We have an 8 year old roller who's our best producer. She'll be greatly missed. But then again she may just be a weird bird.LOL. But at 8 years, she's throwing more eggs than my 1-2 year olds.
