When is ducks breeding season?

No idea about buffs, but I do have Pekins, and they lay from mid spring into summer. On the other hand, I don't feed them in summer (they have a pond) so they might have a longer laying season under different circumstances.

My Buffs are right up there with my Runners on laying: but maybe because the were hatched with the Runners they think they are Runners. They are always with them as one flock . They lay a nice large and sometime extra large eggs too.

About eggs I got a big egg from my female, I think clover. They just started laying so I don't have many....yet! Thanks for all your help. I am guessing by what people have said: late fall up until early summer. Thanks!

You’ll be surprised how many eggs these girls can give us, so it’s very important we feed the best we can and make sure they are getting a good amount of calcium to make strong eggshells and keep them healthy. I know you are happy duck but hopefully others reading will glean info too.

Some domestic ducks generally breed year-round. But some breeds have different breeding season which goes from late winter through spring to early summer. During the mating season the ducks generally show mating behavior and lay eggs.
I have 2 males & both of them r still breeding poor ol females. Hahaha
