Sorry I lost the post. Actually I brooded them outside in the coop and the coop has no insulation. It is water tight and very solid. Good floor, but just wallboard over the beams. Sounds bad but it isn't.
I just hung a heat lamp and boarded off about a 4x4 foot section. They stayed in there until they were about 4 weeks old and then I let them roam the coop and they could go under the heat lamp or not as they pleased.
When most were not, I took it down. They still have not molted because I keep getting an egg a day. 20 eggs a day and I am not slowing down.
