Where do you guys keep your supplies?

I have chickens everywhere right now, so naturally their supplies are everywhere too!

Out at the farm there's a small storage closet built into the big coop where we keep feed in a metal trash can. There's also room for tools like shovels and rakes and assorted beekeeping supplies.

In town our coop and the big brooder are in the garage, so that's where we keep feed (also in metal cans), extra pine shavings, grit, oyster shell, and our broody buster. When we have chicks in the basement we have a bag of feed and a bag of shavings down there. And when we're fermenting we have a bucket in the kitchen and usually another bag of feed in there to refresh the ferment.

We bought a deck box that we put on a pallet. In it is a waterproof plastic feed container and a smaller plastic can w a lid that snaps on for dried bug treats, also other misc items (sm bags of calcium and grit and such). No issues w feed contamination or moisture w these storage methods. Other larger items, like shavings we keep in the garage until we open them, then they usually fit in the deck box. It seemed pricy at the time but has definitely worked for the last year in all weather

I keep the bulk of my chicken stuff in our barn. Like their extra stuff (waterers, heaters kept there during summer, etc.) goes in totes in the barn. Their bags of food are in a metal barrel with a lid and cinder block on top (animals got in, once, before we had that).

Our coop (a bit away from our barn) has a small built in storage compartment (bought the coop from Tractor Supply: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...p-2020-1168239n-1485380?gStoreCode=1413&gQT=1 ) that is very useful! In there we keep a smaller bucket full of chicken feed for their everyday feeding, once it’s empty we make the trip to the barn to refill it (about once a week for our 9 chickens). Also in there is oyster shell, ointment, DE, and an extra feeder.

That works pretty good for us!

I use 2 vittles vaults. They work great and I leave them outside.

We have a finished coop and run with the chicks happily out in it now! But I'm wondering where/how to store all the food and chicken supplies? My thought was the garage, but it's a bit of a hike for us. Thanks for sharing what you do!
We have a large area where the chickens run and roam. Part of that area, attached to the coop, is a tin roof that gives them protection from the weather and under there, we keep metal trash cans, with lids. The cans are filled with feed and scratch and there is also a straw box where we keep extra straw. The straw box is covered like a table top so is usable storage and work space. The straw box has a smaller space that is used as an area where, when one of my chickens is bullying others, they get to spend several days in. We do keep the cans chained close because we occasionally get racoons looking for food. Hope that gives you some ideas.
