Where to buy baby chicks in Minnesota!

Stromberg's actually has no chickens on site. We called them about picking up a small order and were told the don't hatch chicks there. They take orders for another hatchery that is out of state, so it sounds like they are middle-men, not actually handling chicks.

I called the TSC in Elk River, they have Cornish Rocks, RIRs and bantums, and are getting another order of the same in about a week or two. I want BO's so that route is out.

Brau's was my next stop, but then my aunt that lives up by Detroit Lakes said she's coming down to visit this weekend and I asked her to see if the Fleet Supply there had any chicks left. Turn's out she was planning to stop there today! For more chicks for herself! Ha, what luck! She was able to get 2 more BO's and what she wanted.

After we talked about it, we've decided I'm getting the 3 week old BO's she's been raising and she's keeping the new girls. The 3 week olds will do better with my 2 week olds. What a score!

I cant find a website for Brau's Hatchery... Do you have to just call and they tell you over the phone what they carry??? Seems a little inconvenient...

i work at the Runnings in Hutchinson!!! we are getting an order in tomorrow (Thursday the 23rd) we are getting 1000 broilers and we are getting over 350 layers too!! we have a bunch of ducks and geese we got in this morning and are wanting some good homes!!! definately come on into Runnings in Hutch around 1:30 or so... our hatchery deliveries dont come on in until after noon so a little later is a sure thing... or you could call to see weather or not we got the chicks by then
i think we are getting easter eggers, buff orpingtons, barred rocks, and i think 3 more pullet breeds.

Brau,s is GREAT ! I'm a newbe just received my first order from them two weeks ago. call them 218-764-2655 they deliver to alot of feed stores every 2 weeks got mine delivered to Isanti coop . BETTER PRICES THEN ANY ONLINE STORE i FOUND. Good luck

EDITED TO ADD: Sorry, replied before I read all the posts. Cenex in Roseau also orders through Brau's. Their prices were outstanding. I ended up mail ordering my main batch of chicks because I wanted several specific breeds, but I think my sister is planning to order some Brau's chicks soon thru Cenex.

I was really impressed with L&M Fleet in DL. I was directed to try there by another feed store in Perham. lol They will sell any amount of chicks and their tubs were all full of fat happy chicks.

Anyone know of places in Minnesota (co-ops, farm stores, anywhere) that has baby chicks on hand currently? We got some a week ago through combining an order with a friend and now my DH really wants more, preferably Buff Orps and female.  I'm in central MN borth of St. Cloud.

Tractor supply in little.falls.has loads.of baby chicks....bantam chicks and baby ducklings.....little.falls.fleet supply will.have new shipment.of chicks on Monday april 1st
