White Leghorn with big comb.

Our white Leghorn is four weeks old today. If it has a comb this size does that mean it's an automatic roo? My sister has one at the exact same age and it's not nearly this big. Thank you for any feedback.

My 1 day old chick had a noticeable sized comb at only 1 week old but turned into a hen.

But would say yes this one is boy. The combs redness and wattle size!

White leghorns do have larger combs than other breeds, but that comb is much larger than my leghorns of about the same age.

looks like a rooster. But leghorns have big combs, wait it out, in a few weeks you will be positive.

These are my leg horns - all HENS - they can have big combs - don't label as a roo yet

This is my WLH rooster and even though not fully grown he still has a very small comb, so you never know what your going to get!

Wow! Ok, thank you. So you really have to wait to see if an egg is laid. LoL.

He/She also fights with the other Roo. Should it back down or run if it was a girl.

Also, in retrospect. We have heard that a spot on the top of the head as a one or two-day-old chick could indicate a Roo. Which this one did have. You can't see it here. However this is its two day old picture
