White Marans Color Genetics

Anyone here familiar with the color genetics of White Marans? I found one website that says they are recessive white, but I can't find any information about what color genes they are likely to carry under that. I'm looking for a not-black Marans variety to add to my small backyard flock and curious. Thanks in advance!

I think I heard white Marans emerged as sports of black copper, but I’m only 90% sure.

white marans variety come from all sort of other varieties .
there is 2 type of white come out in marans .
recessive white . best expressed on the Wheaten base or Silver cuckoo base .but will come out from any variety ,if the colored variety carry the white recessive gene . .you need both parent to be split white ( both carry the gene ) to give white chicks only 25% of the chicks . white marans need to have pinkish leg , and bright orange eyes . no yellow on the rooster hackle and shoulder .
the 2nd white is a dominant white . very old strain no many of them left .we do have strain here in Australia .I m working with them . .this white have a black flaking spot on the body ,very hard to get a pure white bird but it possible. white marans from this strain always have pinkish legs because of the Dominant white gene .

White Marans are tyrosinase recessive white(c) and could hide any color pattern, but most are Black Copper(ER) and Wheaten(eWh)
