I'm hoping for a pair, that would be best case scenario. I'll definitely be updating this thread as they grow.I'll say have a boy and a girl.
I hope you update with pics as they get older!
That's what I'm worried about! Although I do have a plan if they are. My main focus is going to be Buckeyes, but I thought Malines would be a good compliment for creating black sex links. If they're both boys it'll just take longer to get there. Either way, I'm just glad both hatched (we started with 7 eggs, 4 were clear and one was rotten)I'll guess both boys
I ended up with 2 males and 2 females from a batch of 12 eggs, so I get the frustration. 7 hatched, 2 failed to thrive, and one particularly aggressive male chick had to be rehomed. Hatching can be frustrating, but also very rewarding, lol.I'm hoping for a pair, that would be best case scenario. I'll definitely be updating this thread as they grow.

This! Gets my vote.I'm going to guess a pair, because the one on the left has a lot more white than the one on the right![]()
I agree, they look double barred to me as well.I don't have a lot of personal experience with barred birds, but these chicks are both looking double barred to me. Although....the black lines and the white lines are about the same width, so maybe not?
