Ok, my hens are 3 yrs old, or close to it. Most lay large eggs usually. Laying slowed way down during winter. Florida is into spring and they are laying again, but the eggs are very small. I have feeding chick starter because I have a couple young birds. Just switching back to layer feed because they have started laying. I feed Dumor and Nutrena Nature Wise. It depends what is in stock. They get BSL and premium scratch grains daily. I also provide oyster shell and grit. What can I do?

Are you sure they aren’t the first eggs from the young girls?

Other than that, I’m not too sure as I’ve only had chickens for about a year now. Several of mine stopped laying for about 2ish months for the winter but when they started back up it seems their eggs were smaller too. Maybe it’s normal for this to happen after they take their winter break?

Switch to starter with oyster shell on the side, it's better for them.
I would think it's your young girls nut it's not unusual for birds coming back into lay to have a few wonks.
Cut back on the treats to once or twice a week.

It's never happened before. They are close to 3 years. The youngsters lay brown eggs, I'm getting small blue and green as well. I don't think my oldest hen is laying at all. Lavender Orphington. She was 8 months old when she layed her 1st egg. They are small, pink eggs...but not this small.
