Why do chickens shed intestinal lining?

Can anyone explain to me Why chickens shed intestinal lining?
Is this pre- Coccidiosis

The only time have seen it in my flock it's been due to worms or coccidia.

Well that's what I was thinking. Some things I have read said " it normal" but I didn't think it was. 'So do you think I should go ahead and treat them for Coccidiosis?

No harm in giving Corid, which is what I would do. If I kept seeing more, I would de-worm with Safeguard. How old are your birds? FWIW, many of the *normal* poops on shown on that page are not normal.

Thank you Kathy~ the hen are 1.4years old, I did buy that pink dewormer, I might try that first then then see how things go , and if I have to I'lll use the corid
and thank you for looking at those photos I agree, they don't look normal

Lol, I did't know that, but I guess it makes some sense that it would be a color that different than the other wormers.
