While I am not "all sugar and spice" either, I sure know how to apologize if and when I put my foot in deep.Nah they’re fine. They’d message me privately if they felt that was required. I’m extremely blunt, not everyone is all sugar and spice .
And that’s ok.
Exactly. And there’s a difference between being “blunt” and just being a… jerk. While I am not "all sugar and spice" either, I sure know how to apologize if and when I put my foot in deep.
Now I gotta agree to disagree.Agree to disagree on this.
That's A LOT of words for "I am angry the new generation has it better than I did in my generation."
Leave the darn kids alone!
This should get pinnedThis website is known to function at its best using the latest addition of the Chrome Browser. It's always been this way since BYC hit the Internet. That's not to say other browsers won't work flawlessly, however if you are having an issue here, it's worth a try to give Chrome a shot since we are designed for it. The app is known to be of lesser quality than the browser addition and has little to no advantage or differences over Chrome. It's not worth the headache.
I have been here nearly 14 years and I have learned over his time that your Internet connection will effect your experience using this site. If it's even a tad slow, pages will freeze, photos won't load, even typing becomes a pain. Everyone likes to think their Internet connection is up to par but unless you put a meter to your signal strength or know what Band you are using, you can never be sure.
I have purchased many phones over the years. The amount of money you spend on them has nothing to do with your surfing experience here on BYC. We are designed to work with all devices, one not working better than another according to price. New phones can and do have glitches, a couple of years ago I purchased a "lemon", all brands are vulnerable.
And lastly, if you are addicted to BYC and are constantly visiting this site, you NEED to occasionally clear your cache and cookies from BYC. This is a large site, lots of data, your device will get overloaded from time to time with sluggish responses and freeze ups.
Without “jerks” like me willing to speak against the status-quo, this world would be a very, very intellectualy-challenged placeExactly. And there’s a difference between being “blunt” and just being a… jerk.
Ah, then I’m old enough to be your mother, and you’re old enough to have manners.I’m turning 41 in January… I am the new generation when it comes to fowl breeding.
Correct. Its my argument that the owner should be diligent to make the site as accessible to everyone as they possibly can, because this is vital information for people here, and can save bird lives and improve husbandry etc.Ah, then I’m old enough to be your mother, and you’re old enough to have manners.
Before one becomes a member on BYC, you’re assigned “Guest #XXX”. I like that, as we are all guests on @Nifty-Chicken website. As guests, we should behave ourselves in the host’s “house”.
MANY people have had issues on BYC and have posted looking for help getting them resolved. Most issues are then solved by the admins or tech savvy members. NO ONE else has come on here and accused the host of running a faulty website because they are having issues navigating BYC.
No need for an apology if it isn’t offered sincerely.
You weren’t doing some noble thing. You were being an ass for NO reason. No one else’s was having problems with the site except you yet you were extremely rude to the owner and continually stand by that rudeness and refuse to apologize even after being proven wrong.Without “jerks” like me willing to speak against the status-quo, this world would be a very, very intellectualy-challenged place
Except you were the only one with an issue. Plenty of people have said they use Safari/iOS/iPhones perfectly fineCorrect. Its my argument that the owner should be diligent to make the site as accessible to everyone as they possibly can, because this is vital information for people here, and can save bird lives and improve husbandry etc.
