Will chickens jump over a 3-foot indoor pen fence?

I'm hoping to get a couple of ducks this summer maybe, and am trying to put a pen for them inside my chicken coop. I know ducks can be contained in a pen with fences three feet tall (or even two) but chickens need at least a four-foot fence. If I have a pen inside the coop with 3-foot walls, will the chickens constantly be hopping in and out, or will they stay on their own side? My chickens are relatively heavy breeds (I think the lightest would be Golden Comets; others - Orpingtons, Australorps, Plymouth Rocks, Easter Eggers, Black Stars, and Wyandottes). If that will work, I would highly prefer that, as I'd be able to reach over it.

Chickens can fly up to 6 feet without breaking a sweat.

I really depends on the breed and weight of the bird. My bantam Silver Spangled Hamburgs can fly much higher than 6 feet but my Black Copper Marans are far too heavy for that kind of flight. I have less worry about my chickens getting OUT than hawks getting IN. Netting covering the run should solve both of those problems.

I cannot imagine any of the breeds you listed as being stopped by a 3 foot fence.
Here a photo of a Speckled Sussex on top a 6' fence. BTW, the fat SS hens followed him right up and over.

If they weren't able to "perch" on the top of it, would they still just fly straight over?​

Mine clear the 6 ft kennel I use for their run with no problems. Cheap deer netting over the top if its inside would work well to keep them contained at minimal costs

yup - i put 3' fencing up, with deer netting over top. mine are outdoors though, the netting is both to keep them in and to keep hawks out. works great

hardware stores sell deer netting pretty cheap.
