Will my 7-8 week old ayam cemani chicks be ok outside tonight last night they slept on the ground in 50 degree weather today it’s going to be 45 degrees during the night! Is this too cold

Not really tonight is their second night being outside and I just checked it’s going to be 41 degrees

Most people get them off heat by 4 weeks, was it especially cool there? How long have they been without supplemental heat?

One day, they did just fine over night though

That's what I would have expected. I've had chicks younger than that go through nights below freezing. As long as they are out of a direct breeze and have decent ventilation they can handle cold much better than many people believe.

They keep sleeping in the run and not in the coop and it’s going to be 38 degrees is that bad for them

If they are in the run they obviously have great ventilation. Can a cold breeze hit them? If it rains, will they get wet? Is the run predator safe? I'd want mine sleeping where they are protected.

As far as the temperature goes they should be fine but there is more to this than just temperature.
