Will my neighbor's dog scare my ducks?

Hello, I have four three week old ducklings, and I recently decided to move they're future pen to a place in the yard more suitable for them to stay through the winter. I found a perfect place today, but then I remembered that my the neighbor on the other side of the fence Im placing the pen against has a dog that constantly barks whenever I am in the area. Will my ducks ignore this, or will it stress them out? Thanks in advance for your help. :hmm

I have 2 dogs and they get together quite well. When the dogs bark, ducks run to check what's happening.

I'm going to be the one person to say it I guess....it really depends on the dog. If the dog gets over excited about the ducks and that doesn't fade, it's going to stress out the ducks. It's one thing for ducks to get acclimated to the background noise of neighbor animals or animals they share a home with. It's a whole other deal when a dog is barking *at* them. So, I'm going to say it depends on the dog. I share one fence with a dog that has typical prey drive, so my girls aren't too bothered by him...though when he barks they will quack. The other fence has a high prey drive dog that wants nothing more than to kill my birds. She will never get over that. The ducks cannot be on that side of the yard because they go into prey mode and are perpetually stressed and on high alert and the dog just cannot get over it. I have split the back right down the middle as the only means to alleviate the stress oneveryone.

As long as the Dog can't reach the Ducks...Barking does not bother them...Just watch if the dog starts to run the fence at them..
Ok, thanks. That shouldn't be a pro

Ok... I will watch for that. Thanks for pointing that out, it does make sense.
