Question, does anyone have experience using oxine to disinfect the ground? Let me explain. We have bought a large screen tent that we would like to use to allow our girls an extra space to roam while supervised. We have had reports of avian flu in the state, but not in our county and want to treat the ground the tent will be on. Would spraying the ground with oxine work to minimize the risk. We are taking other precautions, girls are currently in a fully covered run, and we are changing shoes etc. These girls are pets not food..we want to let them explore the yard. We have lots of small birds around but no waterfowl other than our own duck.

Probably not. Our flock is also locked in for now, but here we all are.
I've been thinking the same thing, wanting some more space for them outside, and it will come with increased risk. Maybe removing the top inch or two of the soil? It's going to be a long spring...

Oxine is much more effective in the presence of organic matter than bleach. What do you mean let dry daily?
