The rooster is dominant white so your chick is probably a blue paint and the spots will remain in the same place for its whole life.
Not the first, but perhaps you willView attachment 3935076
What about the red on her neck. I'm not sure if you can see it in this picture. Am I going to have the first red, white, and blue chicken?
Update. I need help sexing one of these! The more grey one in pics 1 and 2 is the one I'm strongly thinking is male, based solely on feather sexing at 1 week old. Pic 3 is of the possible paint chicken I originally posted about. Looks like a female to me based solely on feather sexing. Any input? Not the first, but perhaps you will
They're way too young. Feathersexing when not a specifically bred for trait is as accurate as flipping a coin for each birdUpdate. I need help sexing one of these! Update! They're 19 days old and hoping to get some answers on their sex. There are 4 pics of each chick. This little chick is not even 24 hours old, but changing colors right before my eyes. Those dark blue spots get bigger by the hour. Will the blue spots keep getting bigger, or will the white prevail? Pictured are her parents. Dad is from my Easter Egger rooster (in the profile pic) and a Red Sex Link hen. Her mother is from a Splash Marans rooster and a Barred Crested Olive Egger.

Nothing shouts male so far, I would wait another week at least. The combs and wattles of the two are still relatively small and have not reddened yet.Update! They're 19 days old and hoping to get some answers on their sex. There are 4 pics of each chick.
