@Logar are you getting any more chicks this year?So.. chicken math hit me.
I got baby chicks from farm down the road. I wanted Black Copper Marans, Blue Olive Eggers, and more Easter Eggers. They were completely sold out!
So I ended up with 2 Blue Copper Marans, 2 "light" Olive Eggers (supposedly more of a mint), and 4 "Mystic" Olive Eggers. They look like they may be fibro and supposedly lay a darker olive.
They're brooding about 5 acres away from my original flock for the next month or two for quarantine. Then I'll put them in the chicken tractor next to the coop for the "look but no touch" method.

I wish, I'm so jealous. I mighttttttt sneak down to tractor supply to buy some but probably not@Logar are you getting any more chicks this year?
Well I had no self control... I decided to get these earlier in the year and brood them outside with natural light. I'm hoping that will make a difference when they get to POL. Last year's batch took FOREVER to start laying eggs.I wish, I'm so jealous. I mighttttttt sneak down to tractor supply to buy some but probably not

Ooooh, Marans in the bloodline.Ok so here's a other clue... the Mystic Olive Eggers have feathered legs. Not as feathered as the Blue Copper Marans but tiny little feathers.
