Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

That really is sad for anyone involved in any way.
If they were closer, it would be a win situation to pick
up some free meat birds and feed them to the finish.
I wonder how many birds were actually given away today.
My flock is in full molt yet, so it won't be long until I have to buy eggs .... no young pullets this year to carry me through winter.

Stay Safe ... bigz

I bought these work good except wish I left more space betweeen 2 of them as after fill spills on leg....I left space but not enough..install on 5 gallon pale

Hi all, does anyone know where I could get one or two healthy hens? All the places around me are sold out of started pullets for the year. Most of my flock was wiped out by a dog two days ago and I have one survivor. She is lonely and winter is coming. I'm heartbroken and really concerned for her.
what part WI are you I am, by La Crosse. I have birds, but majority are older as I have only few young hens. Most my young stock got killed by raccoon.

I bought the other kind of chicken nipples, but never did use them. I like the design of these. You'll have to say how you like them after a while.
Pretty soon my 5 gal will sit on the heater and the 3 gal will be put up till next spring.

Not sure if exact same, but looks like it https://www.amazon.com/Chicken-Auto...790-b7b4-d49c82de620d&pd_rd_i=B0B4GZY3SG&th=1

Amazon has a assortment of them. SOme people say they leak, mine never have. Carrying in and out sometimes a cup falls off. just put it back on. Been using them for couple months now. Down side I do not have this pale hung or raised so yah its gets some junk in it from chicken scratching. My fault.
Otherwise I have couple smaller plastic waterers, have galvanized but the finally rotted, doubt ever by galvanized again.

I'd watch CL and marketplace. I see them all the time.

I am in South Central Wisconsin, between Madison and Milwaukee. I think I found a lady near me who will sell me a few pullets. Hoping for some younger girls so they don't beat up on my survivor. She is very docile and was at the bottom of the pecking order.
