Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

yes, warm water does freeze faster than cold.
something to do with how molecules line up..
I also think that warm water would dissolve the natural oil on their feathers.
I ran the tub full with the hose from the outside faucet. I had a cut off piece of hose and I drained it immediately after the tub was filled. no water in the hose, nothing to freeze.
minus any number is the same. 20 to 40 //
the water out of the hose in the summer time is about 50 F . in the winter it might be cooler.
by the time they are done bathing, it is still above freezing.

for a fun experiment' in the winter on a really cold day. take a cup of hot water and throw it high into the air. (not the cup) just the water
it will freeze instantly and make snow.
yesterday I finally moved the tractor out of the garage and into his winter bed under the lean to.
Annie was happy to get the garage back for her car .

I am so sorry to hear about Theo.
brought a tear to my eye. there must be seven other families going through this right about now.We had to put his mother down a couple of days before Thanksgiving a few years ago.
had arthritis so bad she would cry if she moved wrong.
I would sure like to see a picture of him if you could post one on here..

A friend of mine once gave me 76 green eggs to hatch. most of them did hatch. then he informs me,,"Oh no, I don't want the chicks"
man o man. I was selling chickens and giving away chickens for months.. lol
the swampy conditions in the woods should be improved with all this cold temperatures,
will be a bit noisier with the crunch crunch.

This was a picture of him in January
