Wobbly

I only do bumblefoot treatment if it causes limping or it looks abscessed. With her having wobbly issues, I would hold off on any bumblefoot treatments. That is just my opinion.

Ok makes sense. Thanks. Vet thinks it “maybe” also her toe is thickened so vet thinks maybe swollen. I’ll send a photo for your opinion. Thank you so much!! I don’t know what the wobbles are caused from!?

It could be scar tissue instead of swelling. Chickens when they are molting may have various problems, so the wobbling could be due to that or even a reproductive disorder.
Thank you. Very could not see any egg bound issues also vent looked good but they don’t know much and no X-ray.

Hello
First photo shows potential sore foot, see red toe. Could this be bumble? Other foot shows no redness. See her belly with no feathers. I assume this is moulting but looks bad no?
Thank you!!

Her wobbles are much less but still there.

Thanks. Expensive visit to not know what it is! I’ll send pic of her foot later. Maybe bumble. She’s had it before and it was yellow. This is darker more red/orange.
Have anti inflammatory pills and antibiotics! She’s so much brighter today, they gave her anti inflammatory and saline injections!
She’s still wobbles a little so we don’t know what it is. Thank you for help. I could have save money and sleep, but I got it in my head to go to the vet! Home at 2am! Have to work today!
The anti inflammatories '*might* be helping to calm the sciatic nerve down and reduce swelling.

The first time one of our chickens had wobbliness it took at least 2 weeks to recover. I say 'recovery', although she maintained her status as top hen, I always felt she wasn't 100% herself.

I do see scaly leg mites and a bumble foot scab on the toe in the first picture. I would treat for scaly leg mites with soaking the feet in warm soapy water once and using a toothbrush to gently wash the scales. Then every other day, apply some vaseline, castor oil, Vicks, or mineral oil to the legs and rub it in. If you have some sulfur powder you can add that to the oil and it will kill the mites. You can buy it online or in a feedstore or garden center. Do this for a few weeks until new scales grow in. I would just keep an eye on the toe. Consider padding the toe.
