Wonky leg - I don't have a clue what I am doing!

I forgot to ask. How do you give the vitamins?

I'm a horsey person too, have 6 with two mares in foal due anytime. I recently had a chick that my horse stepped on breaking his right hock and left foot. I applied vet wrap in an effort to fix & stabilize the break. It worked for awhile, then broke back down after a vet visit. He ultimately expired from a URI I guess, but he was dearly loved. You'd never think that you can get attached to a chicken, but I did. About like one of my horses. So give it a shot, try to straighten the leg back into alignment with the others. I wish that I could have done more for my little chicken for the short amount of time he had.

Never thought about vet wrap. I may have to give that a try, besides the stuff I have is much more colorful than an band aid!. That might offer a bit more stability too, as she seems to still be leaning to her right, but again she is still eating and drinking so I am hopeful.

My horses are the loves of my life (after hubby and kids of course). I was skeptical about how I would feel about theses little peepers, but they are such fun. I love to watch them and can't wait for them to get out and eat up all those ticks! I think the horses will appreciate that too. By the way that is where this all started. I complained to my equine vet and he suggested chickens!

Thats how I got started with chickens, for my horses,or at least because of them.ha Ha They are the best manure spreaders ever. I tried peacocks first, but they just pick through stuff not scratch. There is no greater joy then to see horse manure already spread around the pasture and no applepicker in sight!
