Hi everyone, this is my first time posting so hoping I’m in the right forum. I’m currently treating my 2 ladies for tapeworm but have also recently bought Exzolt to attempt to (FINALLY) eliminate my red mite problem for good.

My question is, can I administer both Exzolt and the wormer around the same time? Or should these be spaced apart, and if so, how long for?

Thank you! :)

space them out 3 hours. make sure they are acting ok for the next couple of days. but that's for anything. just to make sure they don't have a allergic reaction. if they do have a allergic reaction, CALL A VET RIGHT A WAY!!!

What wormer are you considering?

I assume you are in AU with the mention of the product Exzolt.
Did the Vet prescribe that for you or??

Looks like the active ingredient in Exzolt is Fluralaner, but I have never read about this ingredient.

It would be a very good idea to Research any contraindications between the active ingredient in Exzolt and in whatever dewormer you are going to be treating with.

If the Exzolt is Vet Prescribed, contact your Vet or you can also contact the manufacturer of Exzolt to see what they may suggest.

Are You familiar with the drugs/ingredients the OP is mentioning in the post? If so, can you offer more information?
Thanks!

In the US fluralaner is approved for flea and tick control in dogs (bravecto). No idea about the pharmacokinetics in poultry (and would certainly be off label here). I would think it would be a good mite treatment. Most vets can treat anaphylactic reactions, even in poultry (steroids!). I’d space out your treatments, at least if they are both oral, if one is topical you might get away with it, but it would also be nice to know if they interact or use the same organs for excretion/metabolism. Unless you have access to a good avian pharmacology book, I’d treat for one and wait 48 hours before treating for the other.
