I wish I could show everyone how to give oral meds and how to tube. Done properly, it's almost impossible to put fluids down the trachea.

That too! I'm pretty happy dribbling in 1cc. Much more gets risky.

I pull the wattles down and the mouth opens, use a syringe without needle and shoot 1/2cc liquid in the mouth. Gotta let go of the wattles immediately so the bird can swallow the liquid on her own. If you dont let go of the wattles, it can go down the windpipe. I only shoot 1/2cc at a time.
Sometimes it's best if someone is holding the bird for you when doing it this way. I do it by myself. Sometimes the bird will shake her head, but she'll tire.

I really need to show you all an easier way. One person can very safely give 3 ml in one go with zero chance of aspiration.
