Worms in poop after Ivermectin?

Hello,

I gave my rooster his second dose of Ivermectin for scaly leg mites. The next morning I cleaned up the poop and he had quite a lot of what looks like round worms (maybe?) in his poop. This is the first time I ever saw worms in his poop. Does anyone know what may have caused this? Maybe he had worms already and the Ivermectin killed them and he pooped them out?

They weren't moving or anything, but I don't clean up the poop until later on around 5:30 pm.

Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend that you deworm every bird in your flock.
99% of the time you will not see worms in poop unless the bird is so infested with them that there is actually no more room in the intestines for the worms to live comfortably or they were given a dewormer.
Ivermectin is supposedly not a good dewormer nowadays.

If you have more left, go ahead and treat everyone in your flock. If not, invest in a bottle of goat Safe-guard.

Thank you all. I do have a bottle of worm-out, but I never used it. Not sure which I should use. I will take care of the whole flock. I feel so bad about this. I try to keep a real clean area for them.

This one? That will work very well.

I didn't know that about Ivermectin. It's really the easiest way to treat them as I also have ducks so I would have to separate them because the other stuff is usually mixed with water.

Update: I tried to give them the worm gel and they didn't drink any of it. At all (mixed with water)
