Hey y'all, sooooo, I went out this morning to let all the critters out and when I went to change the water in there bowls I found these long, thin, redish worms all scrunched up together. Don't have a picture cause I didn't think about it I just wanted to get them the heck out of my critters water. This happened last year too so wondering if it's just seasonal??? I looked up pics and it kinda looked like a horsehair worm. Don't know though. Do y'all think it could hurt my birds? If so what do y'all rekon I do about it?

Could this be it?

I actually saw a few the other day and was grossed out as well...
But sorry I couldn't find any info online about getting rid of them šŸ¤” ā˜¹ļø I guess just keep changing out their water.

Will do! Just hope it's nothing harmful. Wonder if I can put something in the water to prevent it?

How big is this bowl, why not just dump and refill it daily.

I put a capful of bleach in my waterer, it kills mosquitos and doesn’t bother the chickens. I don’t know if it would be strong enough to kill whatever those are, though.
