You can look at poop to see if there are any visible worms, if you find those, likely there's a heavy infestation, especially if you see Roundworms. You may also be able to see Tapeworm Proglottids in the poop.

If you have a vet that can perform a fecal float on a sampling of collected poop, this is a good way to see if deworming is necessary.

There's really no program to follow. A lot depends on your environment and worm load(s). Folks that live in hot humid areas like Florida find that they may need to deworm more often than others that live in cooler or drier climates.

To treat most worms that poultry can have except for Tapeworm you can use Safeguard (Fenbendazole) or Valbazen (Albendazole). Both are given orally by weight; they do not mix well with water.

Safeguard 10% Liquid Goat Dewormer or 10% Equine Paste dose is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once a day for 5 days in a row.
---OR---
Valbazen dose is 0.08ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeated in 10 days.

Hello there Wyorp Rock. Oooweee that's alot of educational feedback from you. I'm just glad that I'm not seeing any of these little wiggling wiglies in my girls poop. I was just curious about the prospect of having to deal with just another issue of Deworming these girls.I'm still dealing with some diarea, but they are drinking alot of water and frozen treats every so often in the week. It's been really hot for the girls
I have another thread regarding feed. Maybe you could check it out and give me your thoughts.

Hot weather + drinking a lot of water + frozen treats = watery poop

I'm not a nutritionist, but I'll take a look.
