Would you feed them chili?

I have a leftover very bland white turkey chili. White beans, turkey, tomato sauce and light chili seasoning.
Would you feed it to the chickens or skip it?
I hate throwing it and who doesn't like a bowl of chili on a cold snowy day

Sure go ahead and feed it to them LOL! I feed mine chili too! Be forewarned with the bits of tomatoes, or tomato sauces, their poo will get red for a day or two, so don't think they got cocci.

Mine are offered any leftovers, although with a teenage boy in the house, there's never much to offer. My girls will actually turn their beaks up at certain foods though...lol. Like geebs, I am a bit scroogy with foods that have a lot of sodium.

I give mine absolutely everything that is leftover--chili, spaghetti & meatballs, soup, beef stew, whatever! If I was eating it, I figure it can't be poisonous to them. I do have a composter, but they figured out how to get in there. When my son was here at Christmas, I told him to put the onion peelings in the composter and not give them to the chickens because they might "flavor" the eggs. He came back and said "Why bother?" There was already a chicken in there when he dumped the onions. The chickens come in through the clean-out door and wait for stuff to drop from heaven when they see you lifting the lid. Might as well just throw them all the scraps. They leave a few things, like orange and banana peels. I gave them our turkey carcass after Christmas, and just had to go out the next day and pick up bare bones. Not a scrap of meat left anywhere.

PS Never noticed any onion flavor in the eggs.

I feed most leftovers to my flock; heck we even bring home any leftovers from dinners out just for the girls. If anything is too salty or spicy I don’t. They leave anything they don’t like and those get tossed into the field. They have had lobster, salads, lasagna, mashed potatoes, pizza crust, chipotle burritos, etc... They still have constant access to chicken feed and with 30 chickens being tossed leftovers it's not like anyone is actually getting too much by the time they all grab a bite and run. So my answer would be yes, give it to them and let them decide if they like it or not.
