I am currently integrating my flock of 4 into a flock of around 16. One of my chickens got nicked on her face. Is there any way to prevent infection? I have veterycin and Neosporin (which I am using), but how can I prevent infection if she's sticking her face in dirt all of the time?

Neosporin works pretty well to treat infection, and Vetericyn may help on its own as well. Do you know how she got the cut? I would look at the edges of feeders and waterers or fencing for something sharp.

Feeders and waterers are good. I finally put all of them to roost together last night, so I am leaning towards the idea that it may have been someone that pecked her this morning.
