Wren nest with eggs in coop

Sooo, I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question so apologies in advanced if I'm lost!🥴 I have a Wren who finally out smarted me and managed to find a way to not only build a nest in my coop but to lay 2 eggs in it! I don't really consider her a pest but more like an uninvited guest. I know they carry mites, so once I found the nest I added it into my routine of judicious use of DE. I didn't realize she was in the nest the other day and she ended up with quite the dusting! Lol...fairly certain she called me bad birdie names! Anyway my question is this. What in the heck do I do now? She isn't always back on the nest when my coop closes for the night but shows back up the next day, what do I do if and when her eggs hatch? I don't see how she can raise babies in the coop! She built her nest in a small wicker basket that hangs in the coop. Does anyone know if I moved the nest, basket and all outside if she would stay with the nest/chicks or abandon them?
Any input or ideas are appreciated!

I’m pretty sure she would abandon them if moved. But I don’t know that for sure.

I may sound heartless here, but if it were me, I’d get the nest out and secure the way she got in. I don’t allow wild birds in my coop or run.
But that’s coming from too many times having to treat every one of my girls for lice and mites.

Lol! I will fully admit I may regret missing the building of the nest on many levels! I had removed 3 previously but she snuck this one right by me. My coop currently has a door that stays open all day so my hens can get to the nesting boxes. Alterations are pending on that front. Thanks for the advice!

Oh, so you free range? Ya, kind of hard to keep them out that way.. lol.. like impossible.
Good luck!!

I miss free ranging!! Loved it!
We can’t any more here. Stupid predators took almost my whole flock the first year.
I won't lie and tell you I haven't lost a few birds to predators and I absolutely hate it but my flock are so much happier when they are out and about. Anytime I make them stay in the run for a day or 2 they turn into a group of unruly 5 year olds that missed recess!

I presently have 2 baby wrens in a nest along with 2 eggs so maybe more babies to come? It's Momma Wren's 3rd clutch this year. I've not had any problems and have a yard that is full of wild birds. I've let the yard return to nature and truly enjoy it - not to mention my 3 girls have lots of places to hide from aerial predators. Have had no bugs on the girls either.

I have had wrens get into my coops. I do remove the nests asap. There have been a couple that were quite well hidden but I did eventually find them and removed them. The wren chicks fledged quite quickly. I had a nest in my garage on one of the shelves. I watched the process from eggs to fledglings. I had a wren build a nest in one of my wild bird feeders but they aren't allowed in the coops and if I find nests I remove them. In some cases after I removed their nests they began building another one which I also removed. I went for years without any pest problems then all of a sudden I had a whole host of them including mites. For those who free range, sooner or later your flock will be discovered. Predators will lurk looking for an opportunity when you least expect it. Good luck and have fun...
